דרישות חדשות לגישה לאזור החברים הבכירים

בתי מרקחת מומלצים על מבקר בית מרקחת

Good to know the mods here care about the quality of posts, especially in more important areas. I'm obviously new to this forum but I've had other forums in the past where people are given far too much access far too quickly and it has a tendency to lead to issues ranging from massive influxes of new users, potential for shill reviews, and false scam reports because inpatient new members panic when their package is held up by UPS for an extra day.
Tbf we have plenty of senior members that panic when their package is held up by UPS for an extra day... :ROFLMAO:
It was just a couple of times @קרמלט , like 3(ish) maybe, I kinda stopped counting and took more meds to help me less panicked 🤦‍♀️???

@HostToast Yeah, that annoying. They give you a TN/Sent confirmation, then the postal service announces a strike and vendors threads get inundated with 'still waiting.' Like its a the vendors fault. It must be annoying if members read those posts but happened to miss the 'strike/post delay post ???. I always try and post in a postal thread with media receips etc about upcoming issues so everyone knows as others have done too, but not everyone reads them.

@Chancer. Wait are you saying responses dont count toward your senior status requirement…many of my replies are long and informative…not
Sorry, I've just noticed this post and had a few personal issues to deal with, so I'm just catching up.

A response you make will definitely count, a helpful or a love response will also get you the two points each (highest points).

If its someone responding to your post then, no, that won't count. That will count towards the particular posters count.

Apologies for not explaining that accurately. Members are generally very good with newer members who are trying and need points. So they often will give helpfuls to boost newbies up, we've all been their so its easy to emphasise. Particularly when someone is clearly trying.

Senior members should get one free renewal after obtaining membership status. After being a member for years and going through the tedious process of replying to 30 posts with common sense just to renew senior status, then being swarmed with replies from anti-vaxxers and the like on here rinse and repeat every time there are real world obligations to attend to is seriously ridiculous at this point.

I couldn't disagree more.

IMHO, this is a community, not a one-way street for any individual user's benefit. All a senior member has to do to is spend 5 minutes once every 90 days to make one post.

IMHO, it's seriously ridiculous at this point that some users think the above rule is too much effort. Me, I don't now think and never have thought at all that the rule is too much to ask if one believes this is such an important resource. "You get what you give." "You reap what you sow." "You get what you pay for." WAIT: this forum is actually FREE, right? Hmmmmm; that's food for thought for those making demands.

Better yet: participate more often because this IS a community, and bi-directional information and give-and-take benefits all. That's exactly why and how this forum contains the information that we all crave. And with enough valuable participation, as recognized by other users, anyone can become insulated from this one simple requirement.

I no longer buy the "life gets in the way" excuse. I can't remotely fathom folks finding 5 minutes once every 90 days [here's the math: that's only 0.003858 אחוזים of the time available in those 90 days] to make one post too onerous. Folks should just put a reminder on the same calendar that they use to remind themselves of birthdays.

This isn't Walmart, for folks to traipse into and out of as mere consumers, and only take what they want (FOR FREE). Admin and the Mods and regular users put in a lot of personal time making this forum what it is. The powers that be actually take personal risks. And, SOMEONE puts in a lot of actual CASH MONEY! All to make this resource available.

It's seriously ridiculous at this point that some users believe they shouldn't have to follow the easy, non-laborious, long in-place rules because הֵם want what הֵם רוצה when they want it עם no effort on their part.

That's just selfish.

Very impressive how quickly they work, I see one of the anti-vaxxers named Tycho already quoted and blocked me so I can't see his post (though I can guess what it says). Glad to see the users here are still the same, can't wait to interact with all of them again providing 30+ posts worth of good information in exchange for these interactions. Thanks for allowing me the free post material.

I must admit I could have really kicked myself because the other members on here really helped me to get up to seniors section not that long ago and then those 90 days whizzed by with me only reading and not posting. As Frank says, this site is invaluable and relies on everyones input.

Anything under 100 characters does not count anyway.Notice his post count is staying the same.
Interesting. I thought that was only true when trying to gain senior status in the beginning. I thought it didn't matter when you're just trying to recover from lapsed status?

The thing I found sort of annoying about it is that it's bringing threads up as tho something new is being "said," so when I've been checking the threads with interest and it's just four or five thumbs up posts, it's kind of a waste of everyone's time, imho.

I'm the first to want to help folks find the meds they need. I get great joy out of doing that! Beating "the man" gives me lots of satisfaction, tbh. But dang - just wish folks understood the point is to both find those meds and create some community, because we're all in this together - we're all here trying to find our meds first and foremost. So stuff like that just creates a feeling of being used and unappreciated, which then leads to killing the desire (for me anyway) to want to help someone else out.

If you can find what you need by minimal interaction but still keep to the requirements, (which we all pretty much agree are also minimal,) that's fine. But dang - this one was a bit over the top...
