@koobis I’ve never taken Artvigil, but I have taken Nuvigil when my husband had an Rx for this back in the post 2010s and I found it to be as effective, but not more effective than Provigil, which it replaced, at a substantial cost increase no less. Like all pharmaceuticals, each of us exhibit a whole range of effects and side effects depending on countless factors. Ultimately, I’m a big proponent of not fixing what’s working…Why would you?

Modalert works well for me because SunPharma is a leader in worldwide modafinil distribution, and their packaging is, at least in this writer’s opinion, easily and uniquely identifiable as authentic. It also doesn’t hurt that while this is a controlled drug here in the US, that’s largely untrue in the rest of the world, making it far less attractive to counterfeit.

Ah, that's really interesting. Thanks!

Agreed on the not fixing what's working, but every now and then I wonder if what's working could be better. 99% of the time I don't pursue that line of thought if something really is working for me. I used to, when I was much, much younger and thought of everything as a science experiment. So, naturally it's still something I think about, but at this exact point in time, it's mostly a thought experiment. I'd need to be really, really convinced of trying something different, and even then, I'd probably just consume myself with looking up data, journal articles, experience stories, how to stack for effectiveness, etc. and then file it all away with the thought of "well, if I ever have no access to this thing that works for me, maybe I'll end up giving this a shot."

On the rare occasions I have ended up buying something different to what I know works for me, I've typically taken the new thing only once or twice and under circumstances in which it's not important if it works well. Then I hide the rest of it away for a rainy day, years in the future.

Once upon a time, there was an IOP that offered a bunch of different little sample packs (not moda stuff, but other Rx's). I got a bunch of things just because they were samples. This was back in like 2015/16. I still have most of the stuff from samples that I opened and tried, but over half of the samples -- I never even opened them!! They're all in a secret stash, waiting for that day when I finally decide to try them, which may never come. They'll probably all go bad before I even think about actually trying them. Lol

How interesting...it looks like your ship times varied a bit. What is the average ship time, in your experience?

I am on tramadol for pain. I never exceed 400mg.

At one point my doc suggested a med Luke provigil.
I don't tell my doctor that I source my trams. Thats another story.

Does anyone have any experience with being on tram and provigil?

So this site is good for modalert? I have to agree modalert is the best of the lot in my experience. There was a long time ago a brand called modapro that was even better but haven't seen them in a decade and modalert is about the same. I might try this site if it's good.

@H20shed65 you mentioned only ordering Modalert. Just wondering if you've tried their Artvigil before. Or if anyone else has, feel free to chime in! I currently have an Rx for generic Nuvigil, and I have a decent little squirrel stash of them, but I want to get my OP sources in order and stop being so reliant on the healthcare system. And if anyone knows / wants to chime in about the difference (if any) between Artvigil and Waklert, I'm all ears. I'll probably give all of this site's offerings a try at some point, but I'd like to go with what is closest to my tried-and-true for my first order. :)

I fear the technical answer to your question is rather complicated and likely requires an understanding of pharmacology, chemical structures, isomers, enantiomers…is your head exploding yet? 🤣

מפושט:

MODAFINIL- Brands= Modalert, Provigil, Alertec, Modvigil, Waklert, et al. The OG! Originally marketed as Provigil, it is now available generically as modafinil.

ARMODAFINIL- Brands= Nuvigil, Artvigil, et al. This was modafinil’s second act when the drug company who made the OG Provigil realized their cash cow was about to go off patent allowing cheaper generics to market! OH- THE-HORROR! ( if you’re BigPHrMA )

Armodafinil is what is known as a stereoisomer of modafinil. Basically, they split the molecule, creating a “ NEW “ active ingredient, generally more potent with potentially a longer half-life ( as is the case with modafinil vs armodafinil ) but…most importantly…it can be re-patent protected for another 12-17 years of profit protection.

בשורה התחתונה: These are effectively identical drugs. While armodafinil can give you the same result as modafinil at a slightly lower dose, with a potentially longer half-life ( not ideal with this drug which already has an exceptionally long half-life for a stimulant ) buy whatever is cheaper as it’s effectively 6 to one, half a dozen to the other.

מקווה שזה עוזר. ???

I have to agree. I've tried modafinil and armodafinil and they felt basically the same. Of course everyone is different so YMMV.
